DevSwarm

DevSwarm is a Desktop Application that enables software developers to move as fast as they can think via a carefully crafted UX that allows them to switch between the most powerful AI tools with a keystroke. This revolutionary approach lets developers work on anything and everything at the speed of thought through what we call parallel AI agents, or "Workspaces."

Dogfood, to MVP, to Market. Opportunity meets innovation in an oversaturated market.

In 2025, many of our developers started using AI tools. They were even given the opportunity to explore their own product ideas. DevSwarm was launched from our Engineering Manager who cracked the code into parallelism in AI workflows.

We had to move fast. As development worked on the back end, I translated their ideas into screens. The idea was to have on main workspace, so I focused on creating rapid wireframes so we can quickly get team feedback and work towards the final UI implementation.

Considering the market is filled with new AI tools monthly, we needed to make sure we could stand out against competitors and define our special sauce.

We spent some time research the market to understand what the latest AI tools are doing and if there are any direct competitors to our product.

When asking our team what makes a good development product? They gave one answer "feels smooth." This was the focus when creating the workspace.

It also had to feel like development software. I mostly work in consumer facing products, so this required some research into technical design. Our team did want us to stand out so it was a blance of serious yet gamified at the same time.

AI has changed the workflow. Testing experiences and functionality has become easier.

We built DevSwarm with DevSwarm. Since this product is for developers, our own team was able to implement their own ideas. The bonus was they could test for functionality. The drawback though, is UX and UI were not considered yet. But given the developer's idea, we would be able to view the feature, then rework the UX and UI. We were even able to build A/B prototypes to vet ideas using Claude Code. It has even changed how we do handoffs. But using interactive prototype, there is no need to write as detailed hand off documents as I can walk through and discuss desired features in real time, record, and include in our Requirement documents.

Conclusion

DevSwarm was launched in October 2025 and we continaully launch features monthly. We continue to talk to current users, expand our marketing campaigns, and enhance user epxeriences and education.
